The offer
The Core Four Profit System
Reconciled books, profit per deal and per job, a forward view of cash, and a tax number you've already set aside — delivered by the 10th of every month, or that month is free.
Start with the honest version
Bookkeeping isn't the thing you're buying.
You're buying the answer to one question: was that deal, or that job, worth doing?
Nobody wakes up wanting transactions categorized. They want to stop guessing. The reason ordinary bookkeeping feels like an expense rather than an investment is that it produces a tidy record of the past and stops there — technically correct, strategically useless. You get a P&L that tells you the business made money in aggregate, which is exactly the level of detail at which you can't do anything about it.
For an agent, aggregate hides the fact that referral-sourced deals net you nearly double what portal leads do after cost. For a contractor, aggregate hides the fact that one category of work has been running at a loss all year while the rest carries it. The number you need isn't monthly. It's per unit of work.
Why ordinary bookkeeping isn't enough
Three gaps that a generalist can't close for you.
No cost allocation
A generic chart of accounts records that you spent $4,100 on materials. It cannot tell you which job consumed it, so job margin is unknowable no matter how clean the books are.
No forward view
Financial statements are a rear-view mirror. They tell you what happened in a month that's already closed, which is the wrong instrument for a business with lumpy commission or draw timing.
No interpretation
A report with no one to explain it gets opened once and filed. The value isn't the document — it's the half hour where someone who understands your business tells you what changed and why.
Our mechanism
Unit-level profitability, built on top of your books.
Three layers. The first is table stakes. The second and third are why people hire us instead of the cheapest bookkeeper who answers the phone.
A chart of accounts designed around your unit of work
For agents, that means gross commission income tracked against broker split, cap progress, E&O, transaction fees, referral fees and per-listing marketing — so the net on each deal is a number, not a feeling. For contractors, it means job phases, change orders, retainage and sub payments structured so costs attach to the job that caused them. This is set up once, during the Cleanup Sprint, and it's the thing that makes everything downstream possible.
Reconciled data run through our own cost-allocation tooling
Once your accounts are reconciled, we process them through internal tooling we built for exactly these two business types. It flags uncategorized and anomalous transactions for human review, allocates shared costs to the correct deal or job, and produces margin by category. A person reviews every exception — automation handles volume, judgment stays with us.
A monthly review where someone explains what it means
You get a KPI dashboard and a review call, not a PDF and silence. We tell you which work is carrying the business, which is dragging, where the cash gap is likely to land in the next 13 weeks, and what we'd change about pricing. That's the part that changes decisions.

Included, not upsold
Two bonuses that exist because clients kept asking.
Both are included with your first year at any tier. Neither is filler — they solve the problem sitting next to the one you hired us for.
Risk reversal
On time, or that month is free.
Your financials are delivered by the 10th of each month. If we miss it for any reason on our side, you're not billed for that month. It's in the engagement letter, so you can hold us to it without arguing about a marketing page.
We guarantee delivery because delivery is what we control. We will never promise a tax saving, an audit outcome, or a profit figure — those depend on your business and your CPA, and any firm promising otherwise is selling you something they can't deliver.
You also aren't locked in. No annual contract. Cancel with 30 days' notice and your QuickBooks file, your chart of accounts and your templates go with you.
Fit
Who this is for — and who it isn't.
We turn down work that isn't a fit, because a bad fit costs you money and costs us a reference.
This is for you if
- You're a real estate agent closing roughly 8+ deals a year, or a GC running $500K+ in annual job volume
- You can't currently say what a specific deal or job netted you
- Tax season involves reconstructing rather than reviewing
- You want someone to interpret the numbers, not just produce them
- You're willing to spend 30 minutes a month on a review call
This isn't for you if
- You're in a different industry — we only serve agents and contractors, and that focus is the whole point
- You need tax returns filed; we're not a CPA firm
- You want the cheapest possible categorisation and nothing else — a $200/month bookkeeper will serve you better
- You need someone to pay bills or move money; we work read-only by design
- You're pre-revenue or closing one or two deals a year — the reporting won't earn its price yet
Questions about the service
What people ask before signing.
A $300/month bookkeeper categorizes transactions and closes the month. That's a real service and for some businesses it's the right one. What it doesn't include is cost allocation to the deal or job, a forward cash view, or anyone explaining the result. If the aggregate P&L is all you need, don't pay us more for it.
We rebuild your chart of accounts around your business type, reconcile back to an agreed starting point, correct miscategorized history, and set up the job costing or commission tracking structure. It typically runs two to three weeks and is quoted after the audit, when we know what we're dealing with — the quote doesn't change afterwards.
Yes, and some clients should. If cash is tight now, Foundation gets the books right and the tax number set aside; moving to Advisor later is a same-month change with no new setup fee, because the structure is already built.
Double Eagle Financial is a small firm, so the person on your review call is the person who knows your file. Routine processing is assisted by our own tooling; every exception and every judgment call is reviewed by a human before anything reaches you.
Thirty days' notice, no exit fee, no hostage-taking. The QuickBooks file is yours and always was, and we hand over the chart of accounts and templates in a usable state. We'd rather you leave clean and speak well of us.
